The cottages of "Casa Arabella" are privately owned and run
I am Sandra, the owner of Casa Arabella, I live only a stone's throw away from the cottages during the peak holiday periods. I am always available for advice or help with arrangements, and I will do my utmost to make sure that your holiday stay is as relaxing and enjoyable as possible.
After many years as a publican, I took the plunge and "retired" to the peace and tranquillity of rural Portugal.
Having been a regular visitor to the Algarve for several years, the decision to live here was the only natural choice.
Not being the type of person to sit back and do nothing, I decided to restore the small Portuguese farm that I had found. It was in a very dilapidated condition and so, with the complete rebuilding of the cottages, "Casa Arabella" was born.
Choosing the names for my two "new" cottages was easy, "Arabella" the horse that I had owned and loved, back in England, gave birth to a foal, "Bracken". I shan't give any prizes for guessing that the names have been adopted for the cottages as well.
The cottages are now lavished with the same care and attention that the horses enjoyed in England. .... perhaps one day I will manage to bring them over to enjoy the sunshine!
I enjoy getting 'out and about', especially to the colourful local markets, not always to buy, more often just to stroll and soak up the atmosphere.
