For visitors to Casa Arabella, travel to and from the Algarve has probably never been easier.
Whether you prefer to travel by land, sea or air, or a combination of all three, the routes are simple and easy to arrange.
GPS Navigation Systems, both in-car and hand-held, are becoming very popular and widely used throughout Europe.

Flying
The most popular is of course to fly to our local airport, Faro. Most major airlines now operate both charter flights and schedule flights throughout the year. Faro airport is a very modern and normally efficient airport and there are flights from most major airports in the UK and Europe. Casa Arabella is almost centrally placed in the Algarve and only about 10 kms from the A2 Motorway that offers quick and easy travel from Faro Airport, a journey of only about 35 minutes by car. Car Hire
At Casa Arabella we recommend hiring a car for the full duration of your stay, because we are situated in the heart of the citrus growing region, a car is essential to visit any of the local and more distant places of interest.
I can assist with your car hire reservation if you prefer to take advantage of booking through one of our many excellent local car-hire companies, or check the major car hire companies with the search engine link on our car hire page. Details of the cars available and their price list can be sent on request. As with the large companies, your car will be available at Faro Airport on your arrival.
Many car hire companies operate from Faro airport itself which makes collection and return of your car much easier. The Algarve is peppered with car hire companies and prices are very competitive. Most of the large companies have an internet booking service so you can arrange everything from the comfort of your own home and arrive here with very little more to do than drive away from the airport.
Ferry / Driving
You may of course wish to take a longer holiday and spend a little bit of time driving your own car here. A straightforward journey from anywhere in mainland Europe thanks to the superb motorways through France, Spain and Portugal. Driving from England presents no problems either, the many ferry routes and Channel Tunnel set you off on the right track. The distance can seem a little daunting at first but if you allow a reasonable time for the trip you will be well rewarded by the many different sights in the areas that you will pass through.
